Celebrating Ramadan 1445 (2024)- Iftar Sponsorship

As we prepare to welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, it is with great joy and anticipation that we announce its commencement on March 11th, 2024. Ramadan holds immense significance for millions of Muslims around the world, marking a time of spiritual reflection, increased devotion, and solidarity.

At this special time, the Hudson Valley Islamic Community Center (HVICC) extends warm congratulations to all those who will observe Ramadan this year. It is a time of deep introspection, where individuals engage in fasting, prayer, and acts of charity to draw closer to Allah and strengthen their connection to their faith.

One of the most cherished aspects of Ramadan is the tradition of iftar, the breaking of the fast at Magrib sunset. In keeping with our annual tradition, HVICC is delighted to offer the opportunity for individuals and families to sponsor iftar meals throughout the month.

For those who wish to sponsor iftar for a family, HVICC provides the option to contribute $600 per spot. With an expected attendance of 200-250 people for iftar, your support will help create a memorable and meaningful experience for all.

To coordinate your sponsorship or for any inquiries regarding iftar arrangements, we encourage you to submit this form: https://www.hvicc.org/iftar-registration/

or reach out to Sister Mervat at 914-469-0281 at least two days before your scheduled day. Sister Mervat will assist you in confirming all the necessary details and ensuring a seamless iftar experience for everyone involved.

You can view the most current iftar schedule here: https://www.hvicc.org/iftar-schedule/

Ramadan Mubarak to all, and may this blessed month bring peace, blessings, and spiritual growth to our hearts and homes.
